What is the legal status of a pledge?
Signatories are committing themselves to doing all in their power to support delivery of the Music Manifesto's five key aims and should plan their future activities accordingly. They also have the option of submitting a tangible resource in the form of a manifesto pledge.
While this does not constitute a legal contract, individual pledges will be followed up from time to time by the Manifesto Champion and the music team at the Department for Education and Skills to gather updates, news items and examples of good practice that can be shared on the website.
We will not share any personal information of a user with any third party, except for suppliers or referral agencies we use to provide services that require them to process data for us.
Copying or use of the music manifesto logo is not permitted without prior approval.
The DfES retains the right to edit pledges and news items submitted to the site to ensure they are of an appropriate length and format.
