Camila Batmanghelidjh:  Says she knew since she was nine years old that she would work with vulnerable children. She trained as a psychotherapist and despite what she describes as "a search for boredom" her life is never without an adventure. She sees her work as a vocation for which she has to raise £4million a year. In her early twenties Camila set up The Place To Be, currently a national programme offering therapy in schools. About a decade later she founded Kids Company, which delivers both practical and therapeutic interventions to 11,000 exceptionally vulnerable inner city children.

Hugh Masekela: born near Johannesburg in 1939 was introduced to the trumpet by anti-apartheid activist Father Trevor Huddleston. In his early days Masekela played with such names as pianist Dollar Brand (now Abdullah Ibrahim), Jonas Gwangwa, and Kippie Moeketsi as teenagers in the Father Huddleston Band. In 1961 Masekela went into exile where Harry Belafonte helped him settle in the US. He made many records in New York, including his 1968 No. 1 Grazing in the Grass. He also played with such luminaries as Miriam Makeba, the Jazz Epistles, Fela Anikulapo Kuti and Dudu Pukwana. His 1987 hit Bring Him Back Home became the anthem for Nelson Mandela's world tour following his release from prison in 1992. Masekela once again lives in South Africa and still tours extensively.
