2006 is a landmark year for the Roundhouse. After almost ten years of fundraising, the doors of this legendary venue finally reopened to the public on 1 June following a £30 million redevelopment.

Throughout the period of fundraising and redevelopment, the Roundhouse Creative Projects programme grew and thrived and went on to receive plaudits and the requisite funding in order to deliver first class arts projects for young people. Over the last six years the Roundhouse, in partnership with schools, arts, community and business organisations has worked with over 12,000 young people many of whom have had little or no previous access to the arts.
