• Internationally renowned tenor and conductor Chevalier José Cura will undertake a Masterclass Project (for no fee) for the benefit of young singers and for NDO. The Project takes place over one week. Maestro Cura will work intensively over four evenings in London, with 16 international young singers. Maestro Cura will be working to enhance their ensemble and performance skills, particularly in the Italian opera repertoire. He will then give a public Masterclass with those artists at the Royal Academy of Music. Accompanist/repetiteur for the project is Susanna Stranders, a former Royal Opera House Jette Parker Young Artist. Maestro Cura and the artists will then come to Devon to give a semi-staged concert at the Royal William Yard in Plymouth, as part of the regeneration drive for this deprived area.
